Had a nice chat with Pasha from Polyvore today.

Very cool company.  We were talking about how the discovery paradigm for products like fashion needs to be completely overhauled on the web.  Looking for a purse is not the same as shopping for a digital camera.

It’s like I was reading Pasha’s mind when I made my first post on the subject. Of course, he had the idea way before and was out building a product already 🙂

His initial product is around “mood boards”.  I had no idea what a mood board was until my wife created one to show me what our wedding was supposed to look like.  I think Polyvore’s early traction is a testiment to the fact that they’ve struck a chord with users with a pretty non-obvious approach.  Looking forward to seeing what’s in store next.
