New England Trade Associations and our Student Community

Readers of my blog know that I’ve been pushing for the entrepreneurial community here in Boston to be more inclusive of our student population.  In that spirit, Scott Kirsner has a nice article that discusses some of the events and associations in Boston and rates their accessibility.  It’s a nice rundown.  I do want to add that on the flip side, students don’t have that much knowledge about the resources available to them.  I wish university career centers would also help to bridge the gap between the entrepreneurial community in Boston and students (I know some schools are already starting to do this).  I also wish there was more interaction between like minded students at different schools.

What is encouraging is that I think more and more folks are trying to change this.  It will take some time, but I’m pretty encouraged.
